How to set up Facebook product feeds in WooCommerce? Step-by-step guide
For setting up WooCommerce Facebook product feeds, you will need a third-party WooCommerce product feeds plugin. We will be using the WebToffee product feeds for WooCommerce plugin.
Before we begin, make sure that you have purchased the plugin and installed it on your WordPress website.
To install the plugin:
- Download the plugin file from the My account section of the WebToffee website.
- Navigate to Plugins > Add New from your WordPress dashboard.
- Then upload the plugin file you’ve downloaded.
- Install and activate the plugin.
Now follow the below steps to set up WooCommerce Facebook product feeds.
Step 1: Create product feeds for Facebook
Navigate to WebToffee Product Feed > Create new feed from your WordPress dashboard.
You will be taken to the Product Feed settings page. Here you have to configure the general settings for generating the feed.
- Enter a file name for the Facebook product feed file.
- Then, choose a country for the feeds to be generated.
- From the Channel option, choose Facebook/Instagram Shop for generating WooCommerce product feeds for Facebook.
- Now, choose a refresh interval to update the feed automatically. You can choose Auto-refresh intervals for Hourly, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Every 12 Hours, Every 6 Hours, Every 30 minutes, and No Refresh.
- Then, you will have some product filters for the Facebook product feed.
- Choose any category/categories to exclude from the feed.
- If you want to include only a particular product category/categories, choose the category from the Only include specific categories option.
- Under Exclude products section, choose any products to be excluded from the feed.
- Enable the Exclude out-of-stock product checkbox to exclude the out-of-stock products.
- To only include default product variation in the feed, enable the Only include default product variation checkbox.
- From the Product types option, choose the product types to be specifically included in the feed.
Then proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Attribute Mapping for WooCommerce Facebook product feeds
Next, you have the option to map Facebook product attributes with WooCommerce product fields.
You can rearrange the fields using the drag-and-drop handle. Use the drop-down menu to choose product fields correctly. The plugin by default maps the fields automatically, so that won’t be a problem for you.

Step 3: Category Mapping for WooCommerce Facebook product feeds
Here you have to map your WooCommerce product categories with Facebook categories. Your store’s categories should be mapped to Facebook’s categories so the products will be synced properly.
After mapping the product categories, proceed to the next step to generate the feed.
Step 4: Generate Facebook product feeds
Enter the batch count for generating Facebook product feeds in batches. If you face any timeout issues, try a lower batch count value.
Then set the delimiter for separating columns in the feed file. By default, the comma will be set as the delimiter. You may also choose a semicolon and tab as well.
Click on the Generate button to generate the feed. After completion, you will get a prompt message to download the feed file. Download and save the file on your local storage.
Step 5: Manage generated product feeds
Now, go to WebToffee Product Feed > Manage Feeds from your WordPress dashboard.
From here you can download the feed, copy edit or delete all the generated product feeds from one place.
Step 6: Add WooCommerce product feeds to Facebook
Now, let’s see how to add WooCommerce product feeds to Facebook.
Log in to your Facebook Business Account.
From the left dashboard, go to the Commerce tab.
Now click on Add Items to add product feed to Facebook.
Here choose an option to add the product feed file.
We will choose Data feed here. Now click on Next to proceed to the next step.
For the next settings, choose Yes to upload the product feed file. You can simply upload the feed file as the plugin generates the feed with everything organized.
Click Next to continue.
Here upload the feed file you downloaded earlier using the WooCommerce product feed plugin. If you missed it, you can download it again from the Manage Feeds page (Refer to Step 5).
We will use the product feed URL to upload the feed data. By using the feed URL, you can schedule an auto-feed update.
Enter the login details if your data feed URL is password protected.
Click on Next to proceed.
Now choose a scheduling interval to automatically update the product feed.
After choosing the interval for feed updates, click Next to continue.
Confirm the feed settings, and click on Save Feed and Upload to upload the feed to Facebook Business Manager.
